  1. For preparing special kerala fish curry, grind the grated coconut, chilly powder, turmeric powder & 1 shallot to a paste by adding water. Keep it aside.
  2. Clean and soak the gambooge in salt water for 5 minutes.
  3. Heat coconut oil in a heavy pan or meen chatty.
  4. Splutter the mustard seeds.
  5. Add fenugreek seeds, remaining shallots, green chillies and ginger paste. Saute well.
  6. Then add the ground coconut paste, soaked gambooge and salt. Saute well for 3 minutes.
  7. Pour a little water if the gravy is too thick. Allow it to boil for 5 minutes.
  8. Toss in the fish pieces and curry leaves. Close the lid and allow the fish to cook on low flame till done.
  9. Drizzle a little coconut oil.
  10. Special kerala fish curry is ready. Serve hot with Kerala rice.
