Ingredients
- Mutton(cleaned and cubed) - 1 kg
- Fennel seeds(Perumjeerakam) - 1 tsp
- Fenugreek seeds(Uluva) - 1/2 tsp
- Pepper powder - 10 pepper
- Onions(finely sliced, large) - 3 nos
- Shallots/small onions(Kunjulli) - 10 nos
- Ginger(grated) - 1 inch
- garlic(grated) - 5 cloves
- Coconut(grated) - 1 no
- Cinnamon(Karugapatta) - 1 inch
- Cloves(Grambu) - 5 nos
- Cardamom(Elakka) - 2 nos
- Cumin seeds(Jerakkam) - 1/2 tsp
- Chilly powder - 2 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Tamarind juice - 1 cup
- Coconut milk(thick milk) - 1 cup
- Oil(As reqd) -

Instructions
- Fry cumin seeds, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, fennel seeds, garlic, ginger and fenugreek seeds.
- Fry till brown and grind it into a fine paste. Keep this masala paste aside.
- In another vessel fry the grated coconut with small onions till golden brown in colour. Allow it to cool and grind it to a fine paste.
- In the same pressure cooker oil, sautT the onions till it becomes transparent.
- Add chilly powder, coriander powder, salt, turmeric powder and the ground masala paste. Saute it well for 5 minutes on low flame.
- Toss in the mutton pieces with required water and allow it to cook till it becomes tender.
- Spicy mutton gravy is ready. Serve hot with rice or chappathi.
