  • Spinach 100gm
  • Onion 3nos
  • Chilly powder – 1tsp
  • Oil 1/4cup
  • Asafoetida(A pinch, Kaayam) –
  • Gram flour(Kadalapodi) – 1cup
  • Rice flour – 1/2cup
  • Corn flour(optional) – 3tbsp
  • Salt 1tsp
  1. Chop the onions thinly.
  2. Wash and cut the spinach.
  3. Take a bowl and mix well gram flour, rice flour, corn flour, salt and asafoetida.
  4. Add little water and make it into a thick batter.
  5. Add chopped onions and spinach to the batter. Mix thoroughly.
  6. Heat oil in a frypan.
  7. Put small amount of batter mix and deep fry.
  8. Repeat the same for the remaining batter.
  9. :- Any type of spinach can be used.
