Ingredients
Squid
(Koonthal) –

kg
Green chillies
(split) –

Coconut
(grated) –
1/2
cup
Red onions(chopped) –
1/4

garlic
(chopped) –

Turmeric powder

Mustard seeds

Instructions
For preparing
squid
nirachathu, clean and cut the
squid
tentacles finely. Keep the body of the
squid
.
Splutter the mustard in
oil
.
Add in
green chillies
, red onions,
coconut
,
garlic
,
curry leaves
and
turmeric powder
. SautT it well.
Then add in the chopped
squid
tentacles and
water
. Cook till the
water
evaporates on low flame.
Stuff this mixture into the body of the
squid
and stitch the opening of the
squid
with a needle and thread.
In a bowl mix chilly powder,
turmeric powder
and
salt
in some
water
.
Dip the stuffed
squid
in the above mixture and fry it in hot
oil
till it becomes crispy.
Squid
nirachath is ready. Serve immediately. While serving, remove the thread.
