Ingredients
Lady’s finger(Vendakkai) –
250
gm
Red chilly powder –
1/2
tsp
Coriander powder
–
1/4
tsp
Turmeric powder
–
1/4

Cumin seeds
(Jeerakam) –
1/4
tsp
Garam masala
–
1/4
tsp
Tomato
(cut in small pieces) –

Curd –
1/2
cup
Green chillies
(chopped) –

Onion
(thinly sliced, big) –
1

Salt
(As reqd) –
Oil

Instructions
Wash lady fingers and pat dry.
Cut the top & bottom of lady finger and slit them.
Apply little
salt
and tumeric powder and keep for 5 mins.
Heat
oil
in the pan or kadai.
Fry the lady fingers keeping at low flame.
Once lady finger is half cooked, remove from fire and keep in a plate.
In the same pan or kadai, heat
oil
and splutter
cumin seeds
.
Add onions and
green chillies
and saute, till they turn light brown.
Add tomatoes and blend well for 2 – 3 mins.
Add remaining
turmeric powder
, red chilly powder,
coriander powder
,
salt
and saute for 2 mins.
Add lady finger to the masala.
Cook on low flame, till bhindi is done stirring from time to time.
Switch off the flame and pour curd.
Sprinkle
garam masala
and mix well.
:- Serve with rice or chappathis.
