  • All purpose flour(250gms Maida) – 2cups
  • Butter – 100gms
  • Golden syrup(Golden syrup is made from sugar cane juice, which is evaporated to produce the flavor and texture of the syrup) – 3tbsp
  • Sugar(100gms) – 1/2cup
  • Ginger(paste) – 3tsp
  • Baking soda – 1/2tsp
  1. For preparing tasty ginger cookies, warm sugar, butter and golden syrup lightly. Beat it to a creamy consistency.
  2. Add in ginger, baking soda and maida. Knead it to stiff dough.
  3. Roll it out into thin sheets and cut it with a cookie cutter into any shape. Place it on a greased tray.
  4. Bake it in a preheated oven at 210 degrees celsius(410 degrees F) for 25-30 minutes.
  5. Allow the cookies to cool slightly before removing it from the tray.
  6. Tasty ginger cookies are ready. Serve for tea.
