Thinai Sweet Paniyaram
Thinai is one of the millets grains. its very good for health, in olden days they used to prepare millets daily but now we are not using it regularly. this millets are warm in winter season.

  • Thinai(Foxtail Millets) – 1/2cups
  • Rice(idly) – 1/2cups
  • Urad dal – 1/4cups
  • Jaggery 1/2cups
  • Grated Coconut 3tblsp
  • Cardamom 1
  • Ghee : as needed –
  1. Soak thinai for 2 hours.
  2. Soak rice and dal together for 2 hour
  3. Grind the thinai and rice, dal in grinder or blender . dont use more water because millets leave more water
  4. In that batter add jaggery , coconut and cardamom and salt. keep aside for 2 hours and start to cook.
  5. In paniyaram pan , puts some ghee and pour in each .
  6. Turn it back and some more ghee . keep medium and low flame for golden brown comes.
  7. Now sweet thinai paniyaram (fox tail millets) is ready to serve.
