Tomato Uthappam Traditional is very simple recipe. We can do this recipe quickly when we have this batter in our home. This tomato uthappam is very tasty and flavor with onion or shallots. Here we used shallots only to give more taste. Mianly we doing this Uthappam is raw rice. its gives more taste compare to parboiled rice. We can add either black urad dal or white urad dal its over wish. But i used black urad dal. Which is more healthy and tasty. We can chop the onion tomato as our wished shape and size. But it should thin to cook in tawa. We can serve this Tomato Uthappam with coconut chutney along with sambhar and green or red chutney. Now we can see this recipe in details.

Ingredients
- Raw Rice - 1 cup
- Split black gram/Urad dal(Urunu parippu) - 1/2 cup
- Fenugreek seeds(Uluva) - 1 tbsp
- Cooked rice - 1/2 cup
- Tomatoes(cut in fine circles) - 2 nos
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Shallots/small onions(Kunjulli) - 4 tbsp
- Curry leaves(finely chopped) - 2 springs
- Water(As reqd) -
- Oil(As reqd) -
- Salt(As reqd) -

Instructions
- Soak the fenugreek seeds with the split urad dal.
- Grind the soaked raw rice, fenugreek seeds, split urad dal, cooked rice, shallots and cooked rice to a fine paste with required water. Pour it in a bowl.
- Add in curry leaves and salt. Mix well.
- Heat a little oil in a frying pan and splutter mustard seeds.
- Toss it in the batter and mix it well.
- Heat a dosa frying pan. Using a ladle pour the batter on the hot pan and spread it in circles.
- Place the tomatoes neatly on the top of the dosa and press it with a spatula.
- Allow it to cook for 2 minutes, flip the dosa and cook the tomato side for 2 minutes on low flame.
- Tomato dosa¦s are ready. Serve immediately with chutney.
