Tuna Cutlets
A good appetizer – cutlets made with canned tuna

Ingredients
  • Canned tuna – 4cans
  • Potato(baked or steamed and smashed, medium) – 3nos
  • Onion(finely chopped, large) – 1no
  • Green chillies(finely chopped) – 4nos
  • Garlic pods(finely chopped) – 4nos
  • Ginger(finely chopped) – 1/2tsp
  • Curry leaves(A few) –
  • Black pepper – 1/2tsp
  • Red chilly powder – 1/2tsp
  • Salt(As reqd) –
  • Eggs(beaten) – 2nos
  • Bread crumbs
  • Oil for deep frying –
Instructions
  1. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan.
  2. Fry onion, green chillies, garlic, ginger and curry leaves, until the color starts changing.
  3. Add chilly powder and black pepper. Keep it aside.
  4. Mix the canned tuna with the mashed potatoes.
  5. Add the fried items to this along with salt and mix well.
  6. Shape small portions into oval cutlets.
  7. Dip them in beaten egg and then cover them in bread crumbs.
  8. Deep fry in oil, until golden brown.
  9. :- Serve them with Tomato Ketchup.
