  1. For preparing turnip with potatoes, heat oil in a deep frying pan and allow the mustard seeds to splutter.
  2. Add in the onion, ginger-garlic paste, roasted cumin seeds and salt. Saute it for 5 minutes on low flame.
  3. Toss in the potatoes, green chillies, curry leaves and water. Allow it to cook for 10 minutes on low flame with a lid on.
  4. Then add in the grated turnip, cover it and allow it to cook for another 10 minutes on low flame till all the water is evaporated.
  5. Turnip with potatoes are ready. Serve hot.
