Ingredients
  • Basmati rice – 1cup
  • Mixed vegetables(Carrot, Beans, Green peas) – 1cup
  • Cinnamon(Karugapatta) – 1stick
  • Cloves(Grambu) – 5nos
  • Bay leaves(Karuga/Vazhana ela) – 2nos
  • Cardamom(Elakka) – 3nos
  • Black pepper – 10nos
  • Garam masala powder – 1/2tsp
  • Salt(As reqd) –
  • Ghee 4tbsp
  • Water 2cups
Instructions
  1. Heat ghee in a pan.
  2. Add the spices and simmer the flame.
  3. When aroma comes, add the vegetables and rice and fry for 2 – 3 mins.
  4. Add salt and garam masala powder.
  5. Add water and allow it to boil on a high flame.
  6. Simmer the flame again.
  7. Cover the vessel with a lid and cook for about 15 – 20 mins.
