  1. For preparing Vellarikka Chakka Kuru Curry, first peel the cucumber and jack fruit seeds. Cut into small cubes.
  2. In a pressure cooker add the cucumber, jack fruit seeds, turmeric powder, red chilly powder, salt and 1 1/2 cup water and cook just till done(for 4-5 whistles).
  3. Grind coconut to get a thick and smooth paste. Add very little water.
  4. Add this to the cooked veggies and combine. Add little water to get the correct consistency.
  5. For seasoning the Vellarikka Chakka Kuru Curry, heat oil in a pan, add mustard and let it splutter. Add shallots and curry leaves to this.
  6. Mix it with Vellarikka Chakka Kuru Curry and heat it for 5-6 minutes over low flame. Just before it starts to boil, remove it from flame.
  7. Serve the vellarikka chakka kuru curry with rice and other kerala dishes.
