White Chicken Curry – Creamy Gravy
Chicken pieces cooked in coconut mixture and other ingredients

  • Four chicken thighs and four chicken legs –
  • Vegetable oil 3tbsp
  • Onions(thinly sliced) – 2nos
  • Green chillies(thinly sliced) – 5nos
  • Ginger(A small piece, peeled and thinly sliced) –
  • Salt 1tbsp
  • Creamed coconut(melted in 450ml hot water) – 75g
  • Lime juice – 2tbsp
  1. Heat oil in a saucepan. Add the onions and fry gently for 3 minutes but do not let them color. Add the chilies, ginger and salt. Stir well and then pour in the coconut mixture.
  2. Add the chicken pieces and simmer gently for 3 minutes, or until cooked through. Stir occasionally and if there is any hint of the sauce catching the bottom of pan, add a little water.
  3. When chicken pieces are done, remove from the heat, stir in the lime juice and serve immediately.
