Cabbage Upperi

An easy sidefish with Cabbage

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Cabbage finely chopped
  • 2 nos Green chillies chopped
  • 1 tsp Bengal gram
  • 1 tsp Black gram
  • ½ tsp Mustard seeds
  • Curry leaves A few
  • Salt As reqd
  • 3 tsp Oil
  • 2 nos Dry red chillies

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a pan. Splutter mustard, Bengal gram, black gram and saute curry leaves, green chillies and dry red chillies.
  • Chop the cabbage to very fine pieces.
  • Add chopped cabbage, salt, turmeric powder, chopped ginger and grated coconut. Saute well.
  • Cover with a lid and allow to cook for 2 minutes and saute and cook another 3 minutes on a low flame.
  • Transfer the contents to a serving bowl.
