Pineapple Pachadi - Sadya Special

Boiled pineapple pieces are cooked with coconut mixture and curd

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Pineapple cleaned and chopped
  • 1 cup Curd
  • 1/2 cup Coconut grated
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
  • 1 stem Curry leaves
  • 5 nos Green chilly or as required
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing pineapple pachadi, first boil the chopped pineapple pieces along with turmeric powder, salt and little water for a few minutes.

  • Make a paste of coconut, green chilly, cumin seeds and mustard seeds.

  • Add this paste and curd into the boiled pineapple pieces. If required, add 1-2 tsp sugar also into this mix.

  • Boil it for further 5 minutes and remove it from the stove. Decorate the dish with curry leaves and pineapple pieces as shown in the picture below.

  • Pineapple pachadi can be served as a tasty side dish for lunch/dinner.
