Vegetarian Valentine Cake

Ingredients
  

  • For the Cake
  • 1/3 of Milk chocolate cake mix
  • 1/4 cup Silken tofu
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil/butter
  • 1/3 cup Water
  • For Icing and Decoration
  • 2 tbsp All purpose flour Maida
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla essence
  • 4 nos Strawberries
  • 1 tsp Chocolate syrup

Instructions
 

  • For the Cake 1)For preparing vegetarian valentine cake, mix the tofu, water, and oil well.
  • Add the flour and mix until smooth.
  • Pour into a baking pan of desired shape.
  • Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30-40 minutes. Time for baking depends on the shape and size of baking pan. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
  • Allow it to cool.
  • Once cooled, cut into three medium thick layers.
  • For the Icing 7)Mix room-temperature milk and maida.
  • On medium heat, keep stirring the mixture until thickened (make sure to avoid forming of lumps). Keep it to cool.
  • Mix butter and sugar in another vessel until fluffy.
  • Add the cooled milk-maida mixture and vanilla essence to the above butter-sugar mixture. Mix well. The icing is ready.
  • For the Decoration 11)Cut thick slices of strawberries.
  • Keep a layer of cake and a few slices of strawberry on it.
  • Spread the icing on it. Use a fork to make holes on it so that the icing goes inside the cake layer.
  • Keep another layer of cake and repeat the process.
  • Finally, on top, spread the icing and a few slices of strawberries and squeeze a little chocolate syrup on it for decoration.
  • Vegetarian valentine cake is ready.
