Thengapal Irachi Curry

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 kg Mutton/Beef
  • 2 nos Onion chopped
  • 2 nos Green chillies slit
  • 5 cloves Garlic crushed
  • 1 piece Ginger crushed
  • 1 tbsp Chilly powder
  • 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 cup Coconut milk 1st
  • 1 cup Coconut milk 2nd
  • 3 nos Dry red chillies
  • Curry leaves few
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing thengapal irachi curry, marinate the mutton/beef in garlic, green chillies, ginger, coriander, chilly powder and turmeric.
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker and fry onion. Add the meat pieces in it and fry well.
  • Add salt and 2nd coconut milk and cook the meat.
  • Add water if required.
  • When done, add the 1st milk and make a thick gravy.
  • Remove from flame, when done.
  • In a kadai, heat 1 tbsp oil. Splutter the dry chillies and curry leaves.
  • Pour over the gravy.
  • Thengapal irachi curry is ready.
