Ingredients
  

  • 1 no Beetroot large
  • 1 no Onion
  • 4-5 cloves garlic
  • 2 nos Green chillies
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Chilly powder
  • Coconut half of a small coconut, grated
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 2 nos Dry red chillies
  • Curry leaves Few
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing the delicious thoran dish, first chop beetroot into very small pieces.
  • Chop onion, garlic and green chillies into very small pieces.
  • Grate half portion of a small coconut.
  • Mix beetroot, onion, garlic, green chillies, coconut, chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt. Keep aside for 10 minutes.
  • Splutter mustard seeds in hot oil.
  • Add dried red chillies and curry leaves.
  • Add the beetroot mix into it and cover it with a lid and cook in low flame.
  • Keep mixing at regular intervals for 10 to 15 minutes until it is well cooked.
  • The tasty nutritious dish is ready.
