For preparing the delicious thoran dish, first chop beetroot into very small pieces.
Chop onion, garlic and green chillies into very small pieces.
Grate half portion of a small coconut.
Mix beetroot, onion, garlic, green chillies, coconut, chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt. Keep aside for 10 minutes.
Splutter mustard seeds in hot oil.
Add dried red chillies and curry leaves.
Add the beetroot mix into it and cover it with a lid and cook in low flame.
Keep mixing at regular intervals for 10 to 15 minutes until it is well cooked.
The tasty nutritious dish is ready.
