For preparing ularthiya mattirachi, first marinate beef with curd and salt for 30 minutes.
Heat oil in a pressure cooker, fry half of the ground onion, 1 tbsp garlic, 1 tbsp ginger and beef masala powder. Add the beef pieces and pressure cook it until done.
Heat oil in kadai, splutter mustard seeds, add red chillies and curry leaves. Fry the remaining half of ground onion, garlic and ginger.
Add pepper powder and sprinkle salt.
Add the cooked beef to it. Make it a semi thick gravy.
Ularthiya mattirachi, a keralite recipe is ready.
