Ularthiya Beef-Mattirachi

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 kg Beef chopped, Mattirachi
  • 2 tbsp Curd
  • Salt As reqd
  • 3 tsp Beef masala powder
  • 2 nos Onion sliced and ground
  • 2 tbsp Ginger chopped
  • 2 tbsp Garlic chopped
  • 2 tsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 tbsp Garlic chopped
  • 3 nos Dry red chillies
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper powder
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves

Instructions
 

  • For preparing ularthiya mattirachi, first marinate beef with curd and salt for 30 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker, fry half of the ground onion, 1 tbsp garlic, 1 tbsp ginger and beef masala powder. Add the beef pieces and pressure cook it until done.
  • Heat oil in kadai, splutter mustard seeds, add red chillies and curry leaves. Fry the remaining half of ground onion, garlic and ginger.
  • Add pepper powder and sprinkle salt.
  • Add the cooked beef to it. Make it a semi thick gravy.
  • Ularthiya mattirachi, a keralite recipe is ready.
