Spicy Fresh Anchovy Curry

Fresh anchovy curry with tomato

Ingredients
  

  • 500 g Fresh anchovies
  • 1 Cup Tomatoes finely chopped
  • 1 Cup Onion finely chopped
  • Ginger garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
  • 2 tbsp Red chilly powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander seed powder
  • 1 Cup Coriander leaves chopped
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt As Reqd
  • 200 ml Refined Oil

Instructions
 

  • First clean the anchovies thoroughly. 2)Marinate the fish with turmeric powder, coriander powder, ginger-garlic paste, required salt and two or three spoon of oil.
  • Heat oil in a deep bottomed frying pan. Fry onions till brown in color.
  • Add tomato, red chilly powder and stir well. Cover it with a lid and cook in low flame till tomato juice comes out.
  • Add the marinated anchovies to the above masala and mix carefully with out breaking the fish.
  • Add required salt and water.
  • Cook the fish until the oil shows up.
  • Serve the dish into a curry bowl.
  • Top with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice.
