Tasty Fish-machhli Pie

Poached and flaked fish is added to mashed potatoes, milk, other ingredients and baked in a microwave oven

Ingredients
  

  • 250 g Fillets of any white flesh
  • 1 1/2 tbsp All purpose flour Maida
  • 25 g Cheese grated
  • 500 g Potatoes boiled
  • 1 cup Green peas
  • 1 cup Chopped parsley
  • 1 tbsp Tomato puree
  • 1 tbsp Tomato sauce
  • 20 g Butter
  • 75 ml Milk
  • 75 ml Water
  • 1 tbsp Parsley chopped
  • Pepper As reqd
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • First poach fish in milk and water for 8-10 minutes. Sprinkle salt and pepper.
  • Take the fish out of the liquid and flake.
  • Mash the boiled potatoes adding a knob of butter and little milk. Season with salt and pepper. Add peas into it.
  • In a pan, heat remaining butter and stir in flour. Cook for 2 minutes.
  • Pour slowly the poaching liquid which we set aside and bring contents to boil.
  • Stir continuously until the sauce thickens.
  • Remove pan from heat and add flaked fish and chopped parsley.
  • Sprinkle some salt and pepper.
  • Now take a baking dish and spread the fish mixture. Top with mashed potato.
  • Spread grated cheese, tomato puree and tomato sauce over the potatoes and cook in a preheated oven for 30 minutes at 200ªC.
  • Tasty fish/machhli pie, a tasty as well as nutritious dish is ready. Serve hot and enjoy.
