Grease and flour a 9`` cake pan. Pre heat oven to 350c.
Measure flour after seiving.
Blend flour, sugar, baking powder, soda and salt.
Add soft butter, milk and vanilla. Beat in mixer for 2 or more minutes until pale.
:- scrape bottom and sides of bowl constantly.
Add eggs and melted chocolate. Beat for 2 more minutes.
Stir in almond nuts and bake for 45 to 50 minutes.
Bake until the cake is well risen and springs back when touched.
Cool in tin. Split the cake into two.
For the frosting, melt chocolate with butter in a small pan on low heat. Remove from heat and add icing sugar, vanilla and milk. Beat until smooth.
Sandwich the cake with half the frosting, then spread the remaining on top and side of cake.
