Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
Grease bottom and sides of a 9 x 3 inches round cake pan. Dust the pan with flour and set aside.
In a mixing bowl ,mix all the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, baking soda , salt , sugar and masala powder)
In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and butter till creamy.
Add caramel syrup,vanilla and the fruit rum mixture and dry fruits to it and mix lightly,(don`t over mix)
To this bowl, add the dry ingredients in slowly and stir with a spatula until just blended. Do not over mix.
Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 40 to 45 mins until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.
Cool the cake in the pan for 20 mins before unmoulding.
