North Indian style simple upma with aval (Poha)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Beaten rice flakes Poha/Aval
  • 1 no Onion
  • 1 pinch Cumin seeds Jeerakam
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 small Ginger
  • Coriander leaves As reqd
  • Oil
  • Mustard seeds
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1/4 tsp Ghee
  • 1/4 cup Sev or mixture snack

Instructions
 

  • Splutter mustard seeds and cumin seeds in ghee.
  • Add oil and saute onion and ginger.
  • Stir in turmeric and aval. Mix well.
  • Add 1/4 cup water. Stir and cook.
  • Add sev and coriander leaves.
  • :- Serve North Indian Style Aval (Poha) Upma hot.
