Kerala Fish Curry (South Indian)

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 kilo Fish fillet cut into 1" pieces
  • 1 nos Onion
  • 5 nos Green chillies
  • 1 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Ginger paste
  • 3/4 cup Tamarind juice extracted from 1 Lemon sized ball
  • 2 nos Tomato paste
  • Cilantro Chopped

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Add the chopped onions and green chillies in it. Fry until brown.
  • Add all the dry spices into it and fry for a few more seconds.
  • Add the ginger paste and tomatoes.
  • When the oil starts seperating, add the tamarind juice and bring to a boil.
  • Now add the fish pieces to this mixture and add 1/2 a cup of water to it.
  • Cover and cook and add more water if needed depending upon required consistency.
  • When the fish is cooked, add the cilantro to it.
  • :-Serve hot with rice or rotis.
