Sabudana Payasam

Easy and different payasam with Sago (Sabudana)

Ingredients
  

  • 100 gm Sago Sabudana/Chowari
  • 150 gm Sugar
  • 1 ltr Milk
  • 8 nos Cardamom Elakka
  • Cashewnuts A few
  • tbsp Ghee

Instructions
 

  • Heat ghee in a pan or a kadai.
  • Roast the sabudana in it.
  • Boil 1/2 ltr of milk along with a little water.
  • Add the roasted sabudana and cook, till it is done.
  • Add the remaining milk and allow it to cook well.
  • When the desired consistency is reached, add the powdered cardamom and stir well.
  • Add sugar and mix well.
  • Garnish with cashews roasted in ghee.
  • :- Serve hot or chilled.
