Savola Thoran

Thorans are a must for noon day meals and Savola Thoran is one such traditional dish that goes perfect with hot rice. Savola Thoran is a stir fry dish, very easy to prepare and comes in handy when you are running out of stock. Savola Thoran is unique and delicious with chopped savola pieces blended in a spicy coconut mixture. Savola Thoran is one of the easiest of dishes and requires only a few minutes for the preparation. Ingredients
  

  • 250 g Onions finely chopped
  • 1/2 of Coconut
  • 4 nos Green chillies finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp Coconut oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 2 nos Dry red chillies Kollamulaku
  • Curry leaves Few
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing Savola Thoran, mix together finely chopped onions, green chillies, grated coconut and salt.
  • Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • Splutter mustard seeds and saute dry red chillies and curry leaves.
  • Add the onion-coconut mixture and mix well.
  • Cover and cook in a low flame.
  • Stir occasionally.
  • When it gets cooked, remove the lid and continue to cook Savola Thoran till done.
