Kerala Cuisine Tomato Chutney

Ingredients
  

  • 2 nos Tomato finely chopped
  • 1/2 " Ginger chopped
  • 1 no Green chilly sliced
  • 1 no Onion sliced length wise
  • 1/2 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 2 tsp Oil
  • Salt As reqd
  • 4-6 Curry leaves
  • 3/4 cup Water

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a frying pan or a kadai.
  • Splutter mustard seeds.
  • Saute onion, ginger, green chilly and curry leaves for 6 - 7 mins.
  • Add the chopped tomato and saute, until it becomes mashed.
  • Add water and allow it to boil.
  • Add chilly powder and salt.
  • When the gravy becomes thicker, remove from the flame.
  • :- Serve with white rice, chappathis, naan, pooris etc.
