Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Rice flakes Aval
  • 3 cups Raw rice Pachari
  • 1/2 cup Curd
  • 1 tsp Fenugreek seeds Uluva/Methi
  • Oil As reqd
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Wash rice and rice flakes and soak in water along with fenugreek seeds and curd for about 5 hrs.
  • Grind all the ingredients finely and make it into a batter as that of dosa or slightly thicker.
  • Allow it to ferment for about 7 - 8 hrs.
  • Heat griddle and grease it with oil.
  • Pour the batter and spread it slightly to make thick appams.
  • Cover it and cook till done.
  • :- Do not flip the sides.
  • :- Serve hot with onion chutney.
