Gothambupodi Laddu

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Wheat flour Fried whole wheat powdered, Gothambupodi
  • 3/4 cup Sugar powdered
  • 1/4 cup Ghee
  • 1/4 cup Dry grated coconut
  • Cashew nuts As reqd
  • Raisins As reqd, Onakkamunthiri
  • Cardamom As reqd, Elakka

Instructions
 

  • For preparing Gothambupodi Laddu, first heat 1/4 cup of ghee in a frying pan.
  • Add cashews and raisins and fry them well.
  • Remove them onto a separate plate.
  • To the remaining ghee, add the wheat flour and stir well.
  • Switch off the gas.
  • Add coconut and mix well again.
  • Add the fried cashews and raisins along with the cardamom and mix well.
  • Slowly add sugar, a little at a time into the above mix and mix the whole thing very well.
  • Make small balls of the above mix to get Gothambupodi Laddus.
