Pidi with chicken

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups Fine Basmati/Pachari powder
  • 2 cups Grated coconut
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam

Instructions
 

  • Add 1 cup of grated coconut, crushed cumin seeds and salt to fine rice powder and mix well.
  • Pour hot water little by little and knead it to make a smooth dough.
  • Make a number of small balls from the above dough.
  • :- You can make lot of balls from 3 cups of rice powder. However, make sure the ball isn`t too big.
  • Place a big kadai on the stove and add 5 cups of water into that.
  • Allow it to boil.
  • Add the remaining grated coconut into the boiling water along with a little salt.
  • Once the water is boiling high, put the small balls into it and allow it to boil for another 2 - 3 mins.
  • Allow it to cool.
  • :- Serve with chicken curry.
  • :- For better taste, you can add coconut milk also to the boiling water.
