Naadan Kerala Fish Roast

Ingredients
  

  • 500 gm Fish King fish or Salmon
  • 1 cup Onion sliced
  • 1 tsp Ginger sliced
  • 1 tsp garlic sliced
  • 3 nos Green chillies
  • 2 nos Tomato chopped, medium
  • 1 1/2 tsp Red chilly powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper Powder
  • Curry leaves As reqd
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Clean the fish and cut them into medium size pieces.
  • Marinate the fish with 1 tsp of red chilly powder, turmeric powder, black pepper powder and salt for an hour.
  • Shallow fry the fish, till it changes colour.
  • Heat up the remaining oil in the pan.
  • Saute onions, ginger, garlic, green chillies and curry leaves.
  • Add remaining 1/2 tsp of red chilly powder and fry for some more time.
  • Add tomato and continue to saute.
  • Once the tomatoes are cooked, add the fried fish and salt, if reqd.
  • Cook for about 5 mins.
  • :- Serve as a side dish for rice or rotis.
