Kerala Mutton Liver Fry

Spicy and delicious liver fry

Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds Mutton liver cut in cubes
  • 1 no Onion chopped
  • 1 no Tomato chopped
  • 2/3 tsp Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp Cumin seeds powdered, Jeerakam
  • Salt As reqd
  • 2 tbsp Ghee

Instructions
 

  • Mix together black pepper powder, cumin powder, turmeric and salt.
  • Marinate the cubed liver with the above mixture for atleast 1/2 hour.
  • Heat ghee in a pan or a kadai.
  • Fry onions, till golden brown.
  • Add chopped tomato and fry, till pulpy.
  • Add the marinated liver chops.
  • Add little water (about 1/2 cup).
  • :- Remember to use as little water as possible, since excess water would cause the liver chops to harden.
  • Cover with a lid and cook, till done.
  • :- Serve hot.
