Clean the prawns and smear them with chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt. Keep it aside for 30 minutes.
Crush chillies, garlic and ginger.
Add them along with the prawns in a vessel.
Pour water along with kukum star, till it just covers the contents and cook covered for 30 or 45 minutes or till the prawns are cooked.
Chop all the ingredients for masala except coconut.
Fry them till they become golden brown.
Add coriander powder and chilly powder and stir for a minute.
Add coconut and fry till it becomes brown.
Add prawns and fry for 5 or 10 minutes.
:- Serve with rice.
:- The amount of ingredients can be varied as per your taste.
:- Reduce the amount of chilly powder if u want a mild taste. But it tastes better when its spicy.
:- You can also try adding garam masala.
