Vegetable Makhanwala

Vegetables cooked in butter and masalas

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup Beans cut
  • 1/2 cup Cabbage cut
  • 1/4 cup Peas
  • 2 nos Carrots
  • 1 no Capsicum
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 8 nos Paneer cubes
  • For grinding:
  • 1 no Onion
  • 2 nos Tomatoes
  • Ginger
  • 3 nos Garlic pods
  • 2 nos Red chillies Kollamulaku
  • 3 tbsp Grated coconut
  • 2 tsp Poppy seeds Khashakhasha
  • 1/2" piece Cinnamon Karugapatta
  • 2 nos Cardamom Elakka
  • 3 nos Cloves Grambu
  • Curry leaves
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Chilly powder
  • 2 tsp Oil or ghee

Instructions
 

  • Cut all the vegetables into small pieces and pressure cook them (except capsicum).
  • Grind all the ingredients by adding very little water.
  • Heat butter in a skillet.
  • Add ground masala and fry well. Keep frying till oil separates from masala.
  • Add all cooked vegetables and little water. Cover the lid and cook for a few minutes.
  • Before removing from fire, add paneer cubes.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and onions. :- Serve hot.
