Batata (Potato) Palya

Tasty curry served with dosa

Ingredients
  

  • 2 nos Potatoes
  • 1 no Onion
  • 1/2 cup Peas
  • Salt As reqd
  • Sugar A pinch
  • 1 tsp Lime juice
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing
  • Grated coconut for garnishing
  • For seasoning:
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 2 tsp Black gram Uzhunnuparippu
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Curry leaves
  • 1 no Red chilly Kollamulaku
  • 2 nos Green chillies

Instructions
 

  • Cut onions and green chillies into long, thin pieces.
  • Cook potatoes, peel and mash coarsely.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan.
  • Add all the ingredients for seasoning one by one. When it splutters, add onions. Fry till it becomes translucent.
  • Add peas and fry for few minutes.
  • Add mashed potatoes to it.
  • Add salt, sugar and lime juice. Mix well.
  • Garnish with grated coconut and coriander leaves.
  • :- Serve with hot Dosas.
