Mini Idli With Curd

Ingredients
  

For making idlis:

  • 300 gm Rice
  • 150 gm Black gram Uzhunnuparippu
  • Salt As reqd
  • Oil to grease Idli moulds
  • glass Water for boiling in cooker

For preparing the curd:

  • 2 kg Curd
  • Salt As reqd
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • tsp Mustard seeds small
  • 4 pcs Dry Red chillies Kollamulaku
  • 8 - Curry leaves
  • 1 Fresh coconut grated
  • Coriander leaves A few, finely chopped

Instructions
 

  • Follow the method for preparing the plain idlis.(Pls refer the plain idli recipe) 2)Make plain idlis in a Mini idli stand and keep them aside.
  • Beat curd with sugar and salt.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, followed by the red chillies and curry leaves.
  • Add this seasoning into the beaten curd.
  • Add the grated coconut into the curd and mix well.
  • Finally, slip in the small idlis into the curd mixture.
  • Transfer the contents into a serving bowl.
  • Sprinkle a few coriander leaves.
  • Refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
  • :-Makes 250-300 Mini Idlis (of size of Re. 1 coin)
