Lemon Rice | Tangy Flavorful Rice

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Basmathi Rice or any short grained rice
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • ½ tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 3 - Dry Red Chillies Kollamulaku
  • 8-10 nos Curry leaves
  • 1 tsp Bengal gram Kadalaparippu
  • 1 tsp Black gram Uzhunnu parippu
  • 2 nos Papad Pappadam
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 no Lemon
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Boil rice in the normal way.
  • Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • Add mustard seeds, curry leaves, Bengal gram, black gram and red chillies.
  • Break papad into small pieces and fry it in the tadka for 30 seconds.
  • Add lemon juice, salt and turmeric powder.
  • Finally, add boiled basmati rice and mix well.
  • :- Serve hot.
