Ingredients
  

  • 500 gm All purpose flour Maida
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • ½ tsp *Fresh yeast
  • ½ cup Curd
  • 50 gm Butter
  • Milk and water lukewarm, mixture
  • 15 gm Black cumin seeds kala jeera
  • *Fresh Yeast may not be available everywhere. You may use ½ tsp Dry Yeast instead if required.

Instructions
 

  • Sieve the baking powder, salt and maida together.
  • Melt the butter and add it to this.
  • Mash it with your palm for about 15 minutes till it becomes fluffy.
  • Add black cumin seeds or kala jeera.
  • Make a well in the center of maida mixture and put milk, curd and spread fresh yeast on it.
  • When the yeast starts bubbling, knead the mixture to make a slightly elastic dough. Keep it aside for 5-6 hours.
  • Make 10-12 balls off the dough and make slightly thick rotis.
  • Grill it in tandoor and polish with butter.
  • :- Serve hot with Paneer Butter Masala. :- Makes 10-12 medium size Naans.
  • :- The naan can also be stuffed with mixed vegetables.
