In an earthen pot or Mansatti, add coriander seeds, dry red chili, jeera, pepper, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom and dry coconut. Roast till aroma comes and turn off and allow to cool.
Now grind the roasted masala.
In a Mansatti, add oil and saute onions and curry leaves
Now add ginger garlic paste and turmeric and little salt
Now add the chicken pieces and saute well for 5 mins
Now add the previously roasted ground masala, mix well cook with close lid for 10 mins.
Now if you want to add little water you can sprinkle little water and cook for a few mins.
Now the thick Mansatti Chicken Varuval is ready to serve with hot rice
