Tomato & Red Capsicum Chutney

A Yummy chutney with Tomato & Red capsicum combo

Ingredients
  

  • 1 no Tomato cut into pieces, medium
  • 1 no Capsicum cut into pieces
  • 4 nos Green chillies
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
  • 3 nos Garlic pods optional
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Black gram Uzhunnuparippu
  • Curry leaves A few
  • Tamarind A gooseberry size quantity, Puli
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in the pan.
  • Add the tomatoes & fry for 4 mins.
  • Add capsicum, green chillies, tamarind and garlic and fry for another 5 mins until everything is cooked.
  • Add salt to taste.
  • Cool down completely.
  • Grind in the mixie to a coarse consistency.
  • Tranfer to a vessel.
  • Prepare a seasoning with oil, mustard seeds, black gram, cumin seeds and curry Leaves.
  • Pour this seasoning on the top of the ground mixture in the vessel.
  • :- Serve with idlis & dosas.
