Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Tur dal / Thoram Parupu cleaned
  • 1 small Onion cut into small pieces
  • 2 Green chillies cut into slit
  • 6 nos Curry leaves
  • Coriander leaves for garnish
  • Oil for saute
  • 1/2 teaspoon Jeera seeds
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder

Instructions
 

  • For preparing Parippu Moloshyam or Simple Dal Curry, first clean the dal and cook it well in the cooker.
  • Take a pan and allow jeera seeds to crackle. Then add onion, curry leaves and green chillies and give it a nice stir till the onions turn golden. Then add the turmeric powder.
  • Once the onions becomes golden, add the cooked dal and salt and allow it to boil
  • Garnish Parippu Moloshyam with coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice and papadam
