Pumpkin Punjabi

Punjabi style pumpkin curry is very famous dish with sweet and sour taste. This is an authentic punjabi recipe. pumpkins are cooked to soft tender with spices and heated up along with tamarind , aumchur and sugar. This dish is mouth watering and goes well with roti, rice etc.

Ingredients
  

  • pumpkin chopped 1/4 kg
  • fenu greek 1/4 sp
  • mustard 1/4 sp
  • turmeric 1/4 sp
  • red chili powder 1/2 sp
  • garam masala 1/2 sp
  • aum chur powder 1/2 sp
  • tomato 1
  • salt to taste
  • tamarind juice 1 sp
  • sugar 1 sp

Instructions
 

  • in oil add fenu greek, mustard and then pumkins and saute well
  • add red chili powder, garam masala , salt
  • add tomatoes.
  • add water cover lid and cook
  • when pumpkin is semi dry add aumchur , sugar and tamarind and simmer it to blend well
  • serve with rotis.
