Home Made Kulfi

Kulfi is basically a frozen Indian dessert. Kulfi is loved by all especially during summer. One of the most loved Indian desserts, kulfi is known to have originated during the Mughal Empire in 16th century. It is believed that in the royal kitchens, kulfi was made using ice that was sourced from the Himalayas.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups Full fatmilk
  • 1 tbsp Cornflour dissolve in 3 tbsp of milk
  • 4 tbsp Condensed milk
  • 3 tbsp Sugar according to your choice
  • 1 tsp Cardamom powder
  • 20 each Pistachio/Almonds crushed
  • rose water A drop
  • 2 pinches saffron

Instructions
 

  • Heat milk in a saucepan pan on low flame for 15 minutes or until it thickens. Add sugar ,stir well until it melts. Add the cornflour flour mix .Keep stirring ,so that no lumps are formed.
  • When the mixture has thickened , add crushed nuts along with cardamom powder.Mix well and switch off the flame.
  • Add rose water and saffron.Keep it aside and cool.
  • Pour this mixture in kulfi moulds .Freeze the kulfi for 7- 8 hours.
  • Sweety Kulfi is ready. Enjoy!
