Kashmiri Pulao

Kashmiri Pulao is an aromatic , mild, and sweet. Kashmiri Pulao is a very easy simple, garnished with nuts,pomegranate.This is also the most preferred item when you for the restaurants.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Basmati rice
  • 3 tbsp Ghee
  • 1 small Onion finelychopped
  • 3 each Cardamom/Cloves
  • Saffron soak in 1 tbsp of milk
  • 2 cup Hotwater
  • 1 small Apple finelychopped
  • 3 Cherry finelychopped
  • 8 each Cashew/pistachios
  • 2 tbsp Pomegranate
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Heat ghee in a pan ,splutter cardamom,cloves and add onion,saute it.
  • Add the soaked and drained rice and fry it on low flame for3 -4 minutes.
  • Add hot water and salt. Cover and cook it .Check occasionally. If it is three- fourth cooked add the saffron , Apple , cherries,cashews,pistachios and sugar.Mix well and cook it again for another 5 minutes.
  • Kashmiri Pulao is ready .Garnish with pomegranate and nuts. Serve hot with raitha or curries.
