Easy Chiken Gravy

I have been looking for a chicken gravy for pulav, naan which is thick, little on the sweeter side and little spicy and masala like. Recipe is the simple but very tasty version of Indian Chicken Recipes. This homemade chicken dish is not a very fancy one, but a simple, straightforward and a quick version of Indian chicken curry recipes.

Ingredients
  

  • to marinate
  • Chicken 1 kg
  • curd 3 tsp
  • ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
  • red chili powder 1 tsp
  • garam masala 2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • lemon juice 3 tsp
  • red colour powder 1 pinch
  • for gravy
  • oil 2 tbsp
  • cinnamon small piece
  • clove 3 no.
  • fennel seed 1/4 tsp
  • ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • mashed onion 3 no.
  • coriander leaves 2 tsp
  • red chili powder 1 1/2 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • garam masala 2 tsp
  • chicken masala 1 tsp
  • salt 1 tsp
  • cashew paste 1/4 cup

Instructions
 

  • marinate the chicken for 1/2 hour
  • in a pan apply oil cook it for 15 mins
  • in a kadai heat the oil and temper the clove, cinnamon and fennel seeds
  • add ginger garlic paste and mix it
  • add mashed onion and coriander seed and mix well
  • add red chili powder, salt, turmeric powder, garam masala and chicken masala and mix well
  • add required water and allow to boil
  • add cashew paste and mix it
  • add cooked chicken and allow to cook for 10 mins in medium flame
  • now chicken gravy is ready to serve
