Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 kg Pura / dove
  • 2 no Onion
  • 1 no Tomato
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard
  • 2 no Aniseed
  • 1/2 tsp Broken urad dal
  • 6 no Curry leaves
  • 4 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp Coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/2 cup Coconut paste
  • Coriander leaves to garnish
  • 2 no Bay leaf

Instructions
 

  • For preparing Pigeon / Pura/ Pravu Gravy, first chop the onion and tomato.
  • Heat oil and ghee in the pan.
  • Temper the bay leaf, mustard, broken urad dal and aniseed.
  • Add onion and curry leaves and saute it for 3 mins.
  • Add tomato and mix it.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and mix well until the raw smell comes out.
  • Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt and mix it.
  • Add pura /pigeon and mix it.
  • Allow to cook for 5 mins in medium flame.
  • Add required water for gravy and allow to cook.
  • Now add coconut paste and mix well.
  • Add pepper and mix it and allow to cook until the pura / pigeon gets cooked.
  • Now pigeon / pravu / pura gravy is ready to serve. Garnish with coriander leaves.
