Chettinad Egg Curry

Chettinad egg curry is a flavorful egg masala curry made very popular in chettinad area in Tamil nadu. The eggs are cooked in spicy masala gravy and appears to be a omellette masala curry. This chettinad egg curry is absolutely delicious and awesome . This curry goes very well with rotis and pulavs. You can try this recipe with boiled eggs also .

Ingredients
  

  • eggs 4
  • cinnamon1
  • cloves 2
  • ginger garlic crushed 2 tsp
  • green chilli 2
  • onions chop 1 cup
  • capsicum chop 1 cup
  • tomato 1/2 cup
  • red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • coriander powder 1 tsp
  • garam masala 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • turmeric 1/4 tsp

Instructions
 

  • in oil add cinnamon , cloves ,ginger garlic and green chiili
  • to this add onions and capsicums
  • now add tomato, red chilli powder ,coriander powder,garam masala salt and turmeric.
  • add water and cook till oil oozes out
  • when gravy thickens add eggs
  • simmer until the eggs cooked and serve with rotis and pulaos
