Easy Beef Biriyani

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg Beef
  • 2 cups Basmati rice or Khaima rice Washed and soaked in water for 10 mins and drained well.
  • 3 nos. Onions chopped
  • 1 inch Ginger Coarsely ground
  • 8 cloves Garlic Coarsely ground
  • 8 nos. Green chillies Coarsely ground
  • 4 nos. Tomatoes Finely chopped
  • Coriander leaves Handful
  • Mint leaves Handful
  • 1 inch piece Cinnamon
  • 2 nos. Cloves
  • 2 nos. Cardamom
  • 3 tbsp Oil and ghee mixed together
  • Salt As reqd
  • 4 cups Water Boil and keep.
  • 2 tsp Garam Masala powder

Instructions
 

  • Cut beef into medium sized pieces and cook in a pressure cooker with garam masala powder - 2 tsp (prepare a mixture of 3 cloves, 1/2 inch cinnamon, cardamom 2 nos, fennel seeds(saunf) 1 tbsp, 5 corns pepper and 1 tsp cumin seeds), chilly powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and one spoon ginger-garlic paste. Dry roast the raw garam masala and powder it. Place cooked beef aside. Meanwhile heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and lightly fry the rice.
  • In a pressure cooker heat oil and add the whole spices(cinnamon, cloves and cardamom).
  • Add the coarsely ground ginger, garlic and green chillies. Fry for a minute. Add the chopped onions and saute till the raw smell disappears
  • Add the tomatoes chopped and after two minutes add the cooked beef.
  • Add 4 cups of boiling water to this and the chopped coriander and mint leaves.
  • Add required salt and put the lightly fried rice into this boiling mix. Close the pressure cooker and cook for exactly 5 minutes with the weight kept on it. Switch off the flame and open the cooker only after 10 minutes.
  • Check for salt and add salt water if needed. Stir well.
  • Serve Easy Beef Biriyani with raitha and pappad.
