clean, wash the amla and remove the seed and cut it into small pieces
make as crumbled by grinding it in mixi
heat the oil in the pan
add the crumbled amla and mix well
Dry roast the cumin seed, coriander seed, and fenugreek seed and make as a powder
add turmeric powder, asafoetida and the masala powder with amla and mix well
add salt, red chili powder and mix well and allow to cook for 3 minutes
add jaggery and mix well
allow to cook until it becomes thokku consistency
now amla thokku is ready to serve
